Functional Capacity Evaluations

What is a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)?

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a thorough 3 to 4 hour assessment conducted by a licensed occupational or physical therapist. Through a standardized series of tests, an FCE accurately measures an individual’s physical skills, activity endurance, functional capabilities, and job-specific work tolerances.

All Functional Capacity Evaluations are exclusively performed at our specialized Marietta clinic:

  • Work Conditioning Baselines: Provides objective baseline metrics to design effective, targeted work-hardening programs.
  • Disability & Medical Assessments: Delivers detailed, evidence-based data for physicians, insurers, and legal cases to determine disability status.
