Did you know that in the state of Georgia, you do not need a doctor’s referral to start physical therapy? Through direct access, you can walk through our doors and schedule an appointment with one of our certified physical therapists right away. You are allowed up to 8 visits within a 21 day period without a physician’s referral.

Direct access is especially helpful if you wake up sore or injured from a weekend of pickleball, basketball, or any recreational activity and want to be evaluated quickly. It allows patients to be seen by a PT before seeing a physician, helping address the pain or injury sooner.

After the 21 day period, you and your PT can decide if you have met your goals for therapy or if continued care is necessary. If more visits are recommended, you will then follow up with your physician to obtain a prescription for additional physical therapy.

At ARPC, we are able to get you in our doors between 24-48 hours after you call to make an appointment. So lets not waste time, let’s get you back on the courts!
